The Loire Valley was the seat of power of the French kings during the Renaissance period. King Francis the 1st invited Da Vinci to come live at his castle in Amboise as well as gifting him the Clos Lucé Castle. Embark on this journey through time and history as we discover elegant renaissance architecture & explore the beautiful Loire country. We will start with the "ladies" Castle of Chenonceau, nestled gracefully over the River Cher. Chenonceau is more than just a château—it is a living testament to the power and elegance of influential women in history. After a lunch stop, we will drive along the Loire river, drinking in the passing castles, charming villages, deep forests and vineyards before reaching Chambord, the most magnificent and symbolic palace in all the Loire Valley.
