Let me take you to the two most wonderful monuments of Paris. Notre Dame is the most emblematic historical site of Paris. Its consruction lasted close to 200 years and even the most terrible fire could not destroy it incredible engineering! Sainte-Chapelle is a hidden jewel, sheltered in the heart of the old Justice Court. Once you pass the doors, you discover this magnificent church from the 12 hundreds, designed to host the holy relics. Saint-Louis got this incredible free standing building made in less than seven years, and still today, it hosts the most exquisite stain-glass windows from that time. Taking a step in the chapel is like walking in Heaven! Professional tickets to the Sainte Chapelle are to be paid separately, they cost 130 euros per group, from 1 to 7 pax. The ticket cost must be wired through paypal (+8%)

Cecelia was fabulous, and fun. She really knew Sainte Chappele, and we learned so much about this iconic church through her. She has a great personality. Cecelia is an exuberant guide to st. Chapelle and Notre Dame. Sometimes a little too exuberant, though. She was particularly good on the stained glass windows of both churches and introduced us to an expert who has created an app that provides amazing details about the creation of the windows and the stories contained within them. We also learned a lot about the creation and restoration of the buildings. But the guiding got off to a rough start because she wasn’t able to access the web site for tickets. And her joky manner is probably appealing to most visitors but was a bit much for us.
