We really enjoyed our trip to Auvers-sur-Oise and Giverny with Romain. His knowledge and perspective provided several learning opportunities throughout the day, which were much appreciated. It was a magical day following Van Gogh’s final footsteps, including standing in the room in which he passed, along with touring the gardens and house where Monet spent a significant portion of his life. This combination is highly recommended for art history lovers.

We drove through the countryside from Paris to reach Giverny. We visited Monet's Garden and home, as well as his gravesite. Romain provided information about Monet's prominence in the local community, his lifestyle and his family. He spoke about Monet's artist contemporaries and how they influenced each other. He provided information on the concept idea of impressionism." We had time to experience the grandeur of the garden while Romain talked about the landscaping and various plantings.
