My name is Vincent an official tour guide/lecturer in Paris and France. I am a licensed tour guide in France and I have been working since 1989. It was the year when Paris celebrated the centenary of the Eiffel Tower as well as the bicentennial of the French Revolution. My knowledge in art history and History grew over the years and I like to share it with visitors. Most of my work experience has been in conducting small groups and private tours because I like interaction to be able to adapt to desires and expectations. I am flexible with families. I can guide in different means: driving, biking and walking. These can give you the possibility to discover Paris and its culture with a wide range of aspects such as food, architecture and also to tour the different museums inside such as the Louvre, Orsay, Orangerie and the palace of Versailles. Overview of your Paris tour
Introduction to the century of Louis XIV and the history of the Palace and the Gardens. Tailored visit of the Park with Grand Canal. Discovery of the architecture of the Palace, the different courtyards, Private guided visit of the Royal Apartments, the Royal Chapel, the Hall of Mirrors. Lunch in a place at your choice. Private walking tour through the gardens. On the afternoon I will guide you at the Grand Trianon (second residence of the king) and its magnificent collection of furniture, the small Trianon and Marie Antoinette Estate. And we will finish with a bucolic walk by the queen's hamlet. Note that the Versailles palace is closed on Mondays.
Your Paris tour itinerary
Pick up early in the morning at your hotel or apartment, around 8 am. Then we head to Versailles (around 20 km drive). In the morning our entrance to the palace is scheduled at a specific time in order to avoid the individual's entrance line. Visit of the state apartments, inside the palace followed by a visit of the gardens. Then we will stop for lunch, three possible options, one restaurant, one brasserie, and if the weather conditions are favorable we can arrange a picnic in the park, in front of the magnificent canal. Grand Trianon, small Trianon, queen's hamlet visited after lunch and you will be back at the hotel at around 5 pm.
