I wish to welcome you in Paris and start our visits in the City of Lights as soon as possible! My name is Christian. After getting a double law degree in Italy and Austria and a second education as a journalist, I have been living in Paris for the last 25 years. My job as a permanent correspondent for the Austrian Press Agency (APA) and my lessons of journalism and law at HEIP and INSEEC gave me a special insight in the history and culture of France and its capital. I followed social and politic events, met personally all French Presidents from Jacques Chirac to Francois Hollande, witnessed the openings of the greatest art exhibitions in Paris (from Monet in Grand Palais to Leonardo da Vinci in the Louvre) and described in my articles the development of French society over two decades. 2012 I came back to the passion of my youth: history and art. I started guiding for local companies, got a new education for obtaining a national guiding license (Guide Conferencier) and finally - with the help of my wife who is architect - developed my own tours. Paris is one of the cities with the richest history in Europe and in the World. What I try to do, is a compromise between the time at our disposal, the huge amount of information and the wish of entertainment my guests obviously have. That is why I surround my tours with mystery and suspense, while my wife has elaborated the best and shortest way to reach the biggest amount of attractions possible, in museums and historical sites, but also in the city. I love it to get my guest banned in the charm of Paris, sharing with them my passion for art, history and beauty, but also for the lifestyle in Paris, the best places where they can eat and drink or simply relax. I can adapt to all your wishes, customize the visits, adapt to your pace, and provide many hints for your staying in Paris after our tour or visit. My experiences are adapted to families, kids and teenagers are welcome as well as older people or guests with reduced mobility. I can adapt my roadmap, the means of transportation and the content of what we see and what we do. Just tell me your wishes, I make it happen. - I have a national guiding license that allows me to guide my guests in all museums, palaces, castles and other monuments or historical sites in France (license n° CG19-93-019-B0B) . - Press card n° 080740, Ordine Nazionale dei Giornalisti - Master degree in Law I don't drive and guide at the same time, but I can provide a professional driver with high-end vans or sedans if you wish so.

Discover the amazing atmosphere in the legendary red light district Pigalle with the world's most famous cabaret Moulin Rouge, explore the artists's district on the hill of Montmartre and visit the overwhelming Basilica Sacré-Cœur. Each step we do in this northern part of Paris (included in the city at the end of 19th century) reminds of novels, paintings or movies, each stone is covered with history and surrounded by man stories and anecdotes that I will tell you. We will see the last still existing windmills, places that were shown on the paintings by Renoir, Pisarro or Van Gogh, we will discover the place where Picasso and Modigliani lived, the spots where famous movies like Amelie with Audrey Tatou were shot, and we will also discover the last existing vineyard in the area. On our way up to the top where the impressive white building of the basilica Sacré-Coeur overlooks all Paris, we will also discover many pieces of contemporary street art and the first church built in reinforced concrete.
Our discovery starts at the metro station Blanche in front of the famous cabaret Moulin Rouge. You will learn how intimate the story of this place is connected with the art by Toulouse-Lautrec and how this worldwide famous red district area was developed at the end of 19th century. Step by step we will leave the urban atmosphere of Paris while we climb up Montmartre, the city's highest hill. We will pass famous cafés, places where painters and writers discussed about art and politics, we will reach the Wall of Love with hundreds of inscriptions of I love you in many languages, we will see the famous artists' residence Bateau-Lavoir . On our way up to the Sacré-Coeur we will pass still existing windmills, small theatres, pieces of street art, a vineyard, buildings where "real" Parisians live side-by-side with tourists from all over the world, and we will finish our tour with a guided visit inside the impressive basilica. At the end we will watch all over Paris with a breathtaking view including Eiffel Tower.

This is a walking tour, we will go up to the hill of Montmartre. The way is rather easy.
