Hi there! My name is Sunday -funny name I know! :) - a licensed Tour Guide in France, as well as an Art Advisor for art collectors. Originally from Australia, I fell in love with Paris growing up and have lived in the City of Lights for over 10 years. At the same time, I love it for other reasons; its pastries, cakes, macaroons, its wine, its tasty treats and its design! As a native English speaker my clients find it easy to understand and communicate with me. I work as a Private Tour Guide for individuals, families and small groups, as well as for exclusive guiding companies, from whom I have received many 5 star reviews. Guiding is a passion for me; I adore meeting new people and sharing the love of my adoptive city, its art, its monuments, its style, and its history. ABOUT MY TOURS: As an Art Historian/advisor and Licensed Guide, I'd be happy to guide you through the Louvre, to catch a glimpse of Mona Lisa's smile, to see the beauty in Monet's Water Lily's at the Musee d'Orsay, and to marvel at the wonder of the Eiffel Tower and the architecture of Notre Dame. Let's explore Paris through the best croissant in the city and coffee on a terrace, and lets sample some delicious cheeses next, pairing them with a tasty glass of Burgundy to boot! We could then wander through the design districts and look at where the top designers go to source their pieces. All my essential tours are listed, however should you be after something more unique, I am more than happy to tailor something to your wants and needs; let's discuss. I can adjust tour duration, starting time and meeting point, transportation or anything you want so as to ensure you have the best experience here in Paris! BA in Creative Arts as well as an MA in Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne, Australia, specializing in late 19th and 20th Century Art. Work experience as an assistant curator in Australia, as well as at several reputable commercial art galleries and with many high-profile interior designers. Currently working as a private art and design advisor to international art collectors, and as a Licensed Guide in France. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Overview of your Paris tour

Visit the main monuments of Paris on foot and via metro, the classic french mode of transport. Explore the unmissable sights of the City of Lights, including Saint Germain, the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, Louvre, Palais Royale, Opera Garnier, Montmartre, Sacre Coeur, Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, all in the company of yours dearest. I will offer you expansive insight into the many parisian stories that have shaped this great city. Several of these monuments, located along the banks of Seine, are protected by UNESCO due to being considered as possessing Outstanding Universal Value, this entire aforementioned area being declared a World Heritage Site. You may see the original foundations where Paris was established, learn about its transformation from a Medieval to a Modern city, discover artistic neighbourhoods, as well as march the routes once trodden by Kings and Emperors. Should you wish to tailor the tour, please let me know. I'm happy to accommodate the following itinerary to fit your needs.

In selecting guides, we have found those with Art History and Art Curatorship degrees to be most knowable. They can provide insight as to the artist’s intent for a canvas, the, goals and thought process as they approach their work. Sunday certainly fulfills the above criteria. She knows the life history of the major artists, where they worked, with whom they shared studios, their wives and lovers, etc. While she is at home talking about Monet, Renoir and Picasso; Sunday can quickly move to the architecture of major buildings and churches, the architects, the materials used and how long it took to build. Sunday blends the above with the history of Paris and France. This would include the wars, revolutions, political intrigue, nobility, emperors’ king’s (all the Henry’s and Louis’), their wives, children and mistresses. Donna and I highly recommend Sunday …and she knows who makes the best croissants in Paris.

We had a great time and tour with Sunday! I had booked her on three different tours for my wife and I and our 21 year old granddaughter. There was a chance that I might not be able to make the trip, and I wanted them well cared for by someone who spoke fluent English and French and was female. Sunday delivered in those areas and many more. I highly recommend her!

Sunday was truly amazing, she knew the history of Paris, France and the revolutions, but she was also extremely knowledgeable about the architecture and the art work. She was funny and irreverent and took very good care of us.

Day 2 of our 4 day tour with Sunday. We toured Notre Dame, St. Chapelle and Montmartre. Another excellent day of learning and experiencing the history and culture of France. The pace was excellent and time of the tour well managed. We had enough time to "soak in" the sites and take photos. I had been to Montmartre before but was not impressed. Sunday changed that. We went to locations that Montmartre a much more fascinating place to visit. Thank you, Sunday.

I bought this tour for my mom before she got on her European River Cruise. Sunday was absolutely INCREDIBLE on this tour, tailoring the tour to what my mom wanted to see. Sunday was a wealth of information at the various sites throughout Paris and was a walking encyclopedia of information and facts answering all questions that came up. HIGHLY recommend!
