Tour Guide for now nine wonderful years, I am a very positive and ongoing person. It is really hard to get away the smile from my face ;o) When I decided to get my guiding license, more than 9 years ago now, I thought first, that it could be a summer job while on holiday from teaching, but I quickly realized what a great job guiding can be. I use to say, that now, my students are older than before, and are now really very interested in what they want me to speak about. Even better. I started doing tours for friends from California, years ago, then friends of their friends, and I now take people on my tours who become friends ;o) I live in in Normandy, where I was born, but I also lived in Paris, in the US , and in some other countries. That gives me the ability to understand other cultures and to adapt myself. Yet, Paradise is for me "here" in the green pastures of Normandy. Both my grandparents lived through the German occupation, and both were in the French Resistance. I have a very strong connection to my region. That really started my passion for digging in the past. After an education in Normandy, I went studying History and Journalism in Paris at the Sorbonne. As a real History buff, I have created some unique itineraries no one else did before me, like the real Viking tour on the footsteps of the Vikings of Normandy. I try as much as possible to do things the best I can. I am a perfectionist, and I assume. I am married and have two lovely daughters. Besides my family and my job, I love horses. This is the perfect tour for those looking for a real immersion in Normandy. Being with you a couple of days, I 'll have the time to customize things exactly as you want. On these 3 days, you'll see what makes Normandy so special! From its medieval walls to its WWII Nazi canons, through the lovely apple orchards and spotted cows, Normandy is so much more than the 21st district of Paris, as Parisians call it. You'll walk on Omaha Beach, hear the stories of many of the 9388 GI's resting at the Normandy American Cemetery, and walk the steps to the Abbey of the Mont St Michel. In Falaise, Bayeux, Caen and Crèvecœur you'll delve into the stories of conquerors, dukes, and duchesses, knights and crusaders. You'll also have plenty of time to taste the real Camembert in Camembert and to drink some of our delicious Calvados in the best local distilleries (apple brandy).
Our tour by Igor Rosen took us on a three day tour of Brittany. He was helpful in booking hotels that met our needs. the tour included Cancale, the sites of the King Arthur legends, Carnac stones, and fort Lalatte castle. It was an enjoyable tour to an area of France that we had not yet visited. We recommend him highly.

Our tours with Igor were fantastic. Igor was knowledgeable, prompt, and very flexible. We were able to make changes based on our wishes and got to see thing we are fairly certain we would not have seen otherwise. An altogether great experience.

We, a group of 4 seasoned travelers, were guided through the Normandy D-Day Beaches, Mont Saint Michel, and nearby environs. It was fabulous. Igor is very knowledgeable and more than familiar with the sites and historical significance. In addition to oral descriptions, he utilizes interactive media to prepare you before the arrival at the sites. While there he provides printed diagrams and photos to give visual understanding of the subject. Ensuring you are comfortable and at ease. He was great.
