Overview of your Caen tour
This half-day tour is great if you would like to discover the essentials of Omaha Beach Landing and if you travel with children. Pointe du Hoc with it's bomb craters and cliffs, Bloody Omaha and white head stones of the American cemetery will tell you differents stories and make you thinking about your own life. And probably, this visit would change your life! During my tour, I provide many facts, stories but I use several techniques touching different senses. Also I help you to be Inspired by Places, give you opportunities to construct your own meanings through active engagements and sometimes by multi-way dialogue.

Lena is an amazing guide in so many ways. First, she is so knowledgeable about WWII and had countless pieces of information about everything we saw. Her descriptions of the strategies of the military leaders versus the reality of the invasion were so interesting. Second, her familiarity with the region and the history enables her to make adjustments to the itinerary to include sites that may be of particular interest to each group. She took us to the German cemetery – a site that we’d not known existed. Also, she includes photographs, stories and activities that to ensure that visitors understand the toll that war takes on our world. Lena’s tour will enable you to see and understand so much. Your Caen tour itinerary
* La Pointe du Hoc (we will see bomb craters, 100-feet cliff, German pillboxes and go inside the observation post). * Omaha Beach (we stop at the most difficult exit to be taken on Dday, we will see several Germans' positions and have a good view of all Omaha Beach). * American Cemetery (we pay our respects, see several moving memorials and Omaha Beach is in front of us from a German perspective). It is possible to add to this itinerary either the German cemetery or Overlord Museum. Please send your request in advance.
