Caen and Bayeux Full Day Tour

Ezzedine Hosni created a rich, meaningful and engaging tour of the culture of Normandy and Picardy. We were particularly interested in the socio-political-cultural history immediately before, during, and after William the Conqueror, and Ezzedine tailored our day tour to those themes. Even though the Bayeaux tapestry will not be able to be viewed for 2 years, we got a sense of its content and historical meaning—as well as seeing the Cathedral where it usually resides. We went to Falaise the birthplace of William—which is a place that is not often known to people. We then spent time in Caen where William moved his reign and visited his gravesite and his queen. Ezzedine was very organized and articulate and personalized about his storytelling. We had a wonderful experience, and also was allowed to explore on our own to integrate all the experience.

We can’t say enough good things about our driver/guide. His knowledge, friendly attitude, ability to listen, and flexibility to our needs were a refreshing change from other guides from other companies. He pointed out every interesting nook and cranny in Caen and Bayeux and showed us all requested D-Day Sites. Great Fun; thank you Professor Ezze!

Ezzedine, Ezzie, was professional, very knowledgeable & fun to be with. In addition to giving us important facts about the history of Bayeux & Caen he helped us understand the backdrop of history behind the historic sites & the people who were important in that history. To this point he took us to Arromanches not originally on the tour to show us Mulberry Harbor and discuss the construction of the harbor & its importance to the allies. Ezzie has a depth of experiences that he brings to his guiding.

Ezze was a pleasure to spend the day with. His knowledge of the area is exceptional as well as his connections at the various sites. My mistake, I had booked all day Caen and Bayeux tour when I meant to schedule an all day Beaches tour and memorial visit in Caen. Ezze quickly adapted and created very memorable experience for my Cousins who were visiting the area for the first time. One highlight was "behind" the rope experience we got from a connection of Ezze. Fantastic day, would highly recommend Ezze
