Hi, my name is Jean, and I have been working as a professional driver in Normandy for 4 years since we moved from Paris. With over 15 years of experience as a hotel concierge, I am approachable, considerate, kind, and trustworthy. I am always happy to chat about my country and provide helpful advice to make your trip memorable. Nothing is too much trouble for me. Please feel free to contact me for more information. I am experienced with a wealth of knowledge, having conducted tours all over Normandy, whether it be for food enthusiasts, history lovers, or D-Day history... I specialise in taking visitors to hidden gems away from the mainstream attractions. I am also a cider/calvados/wine ambassador and can take you to the best spots. Ready for the best restaurants and right sites for shopping, but also for the most traditional or authentic, those hidden even from many locals! I can arrange bespoke tours for groups of up to 7 people in my Mercedes E-class, Mercedes V-class, or Volkswagen Caravelle. Please feel free to contact me if you need any advice or would like to chat about a tour. I look forward to speaking to you. A bientôt!

In the morning, we leave the historic town of Bayeux, for a scenic journey toward Honfleur, the painters’ haven on the Normandy coast. We will arrive in the late morning and park near the Vieux Bassin, Honfleur’s picturesque old harbor. It feel like stepping into a painting. Rows of tall, narrow houses with slate roofs reflecting on the water. Our first stop is the Église Sainte-Catherine, the largest wooden church in France, then explore art galleries, boutiques. Honfleur truly lives up to its nickname: “the cradle of Impressionism.” The light here has a soft quality that changes throughout the day. After a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant ( fresh seafood and crisp Normandy cider ) we will visit the Eugène Boudin Museum, where many works from Honfleur’s most famous artists are on display. We will then wander up to the Jardin des Personnalités, a peaceful park near the estuary with sculptures of famous figures linked to Honfleur.
- The drive takes just over an hour, passing through rolling hills, apple orchards, and sleepy Norman villages. The kind of landscape that makes Normandy feel timeless. - By the end of afternoon, we will make our way back to Bayeux in the golden light of early evening, tired, inspired, and completely charmed by this little jewel of Normandy.
