So Good!!! We felt safe in the hands of Wilson who made every effort to ensure we were comfortable and safe in every way. From the very simple, but very meaningful, point of collection where he held a distinctive name sheet, through to the final drop off, Wilson tailored the whole day to our requests, and was very patient and understanding with our multiple messages prior to arranging the trip. Nothing as too much trouble, and nothing was forced or imposed on us - the day went perfectly. He was happy to gloss over things we were not too interested in as well as being very happy to allow us all the time we needed at the points that interested us. We had a great time with Wilson exploring the mangroves of Cartagena. We learned how to fish using a net and caught crabs using a handmade cage. We then had a fantastic lunch with fresh seafood and local side dishes. This tour is a once in a lifetime experience. We highly recommend Wilson for your next tour.

Wilson collected us at the hotel in a private van. He is very knowledgeable and fun. We had already visited many sites he had planned so we went to Boquilla and began a most fabulous day. We canoed thru the mangroves, learned to catch bait fish with nets, caught crabs. The birds were plentiful. We could have had our crabs cooked and eaten there. Juan our canoe guide was so knowledgable. Fun day a great escape from the city. Wilson is the best.
Your Cartagena tour itinerary
Pick up from the port / hotel or cruise terminal. Drive along the neighbourhood of Manga. Seeing the wall city and the fortress that makes Cartagena a charming city and powerful place. Also we see the ocean near by the coast until arrive to the village la Boquilla. The native people will be waiting for us to start the tour on the canoe around the marshes. We will go through the mangroves tunnels hearing the noise of birds once we cross the tunnel we will stop in the middle of the marshes. Then we get out the canoe and start the fishing classes with the experts, they will show you how to throw the net and catch the fish, who catch the biggest fish will have free lunch. Lunch is optional $10 usd a plate but if you catch the biggest fish your lunch will be free.
