Colombia is the third largest coffee producing country and the largest producer of mild coffee in the world. It is characterized by having a lot of body and each region offers a different profile in the cup: there are some with sweet, nutty and chocolate, even floral and fruity, almost tropical notes. The Colombian topography means that coffee is planted mainly on slopes and that its collection is manual, a condition that enhances quality and flavor. Since I was little, I have been interested in everything that stands out in Colombia, especially the biodiversity of fauna and flora, roses, orchids, butterflies, birds and of course coffee. I will be happy to share my readings and from the hand of expert baristas we will do a crawl tasting the best brands, using different filtering methods that allow us to awake the senses of sight, taste and smell to discover the richness that a cup of excellent Colombian coffee contains.
Paulina was WONDERFUL! She shared the history of the slave areas, building of the fort, took us to an amazing coffee shop where we learned the process of growing and making coffee and to a Palace for local lemonade. I highly recommend giving Paulina an opportunity to share her country with you.
Wonderful tour! Paulina is an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable and shared lots of information. The coffee tastings were great. David,coffee shop owner, gave so much information about coffee. Paulina personalized the tour for our group of 6 and made sure we saw and did what we wanted. Highly recommend this small group tour!
Loved this tour with Paulina. Her knowledge of the city, and coffee, is deep. We learned about the process of roasting, grinding coffee and different ways of making a great cup. The shop we went to learn this was within the old city walls. Truly amazing sights and tastes in Cartagena. Do this tour with Paulina and you can relax and have fun!
