Coffee, Filigrana and Esmeraldas. Each of these elements reflects the cultural, historical and natural richness of the country. On this tour, you will have the opportunity to learn about their process, history and significance. We will begin our tour discovering the art of Zenu Goldsmithing which has been an integral part of the pre-Columbian cultures. We will visit the Zenu Gold Museum, which focuses on the customs of the indigenous civilization that inhabited the Caribbean Region before the arrival of the colonizers, especially focusing on the technique of FILIGRANA. We will also visit a Filigree workshop to see how the gold threads are woven to form delicate jewellery. We will finish with a visit to an EMERALD workshop, gems that position Colombia as a world leader in their production, due to their quality, purity and intense green colour. We will learn about the formation of the Beryls, the cuts and carving techniques that have made Colombian emeralds a symbol of luxury and exclusivity.
