Spoken and written words are not enough to describe the magic and charm of this fascinating city. This Caribbean paradise provides you with everything you are looking for to have an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. Among its attractions are historic monuments, old churches and cathedrals, plazas (squares), beaches, the bay, the Caribbean Sea, let alone the impressive ramparts and fortifications as the legacy of a treasure filled stronghold that had to defend itself against the threats, attacks and siege of pirates and privateers of the time who many times invaded and plundered the then world's richest city. Add to it, its people and culture along with its walled colonial town featuring stately gorgeous colonial architecture flowery balconied mansions, romantic squares and narrow shaded streets that will amaze you. Its many visitors include tourists, businesspeople, very important and famous people from all over the world. No wonder UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site in 1984.

Ben Torres was an exceptional tour guide in Cartagena. He truly is "Número Uno"! His extensive knowledge and genuine passion for his country’s history and heritage made the experience unforgettable. We had an amazing time exploring all that Cartagena has to offer. Ben was incredibly accommodating, skillfully managing our large group, which included everyone from kids to grandparents. His driver also did an excellent job navigating the city's narrow streets and winding turns. Highly recommended!
My wife and I had an amazing tour of Cartagena with Ben. He showed us all the highlights and recounted the town’s fascinating history. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about his birthplace and it showed throughout the tour. He took all of our needs into consideration and made us feel very comfortable right from the start. We would both highly recommend Ben to anyone doing a tour in Cartagena! He truly is “Numero Uno!”
1. RIGHT AFTER WE MEET, we drive up to the highest naturally formed vantage point in Cartagena, which is a 500-foot high hill with an almost 360° breathtaking panoramic view of the city, then go inside the monastery. This visit is amazing. 2. We drive back down for a photo stop at the biggest fortification built by the Spanish in the Americas. You will not believe your eyes and ears there. 3. We go for an easy walking tour inside the charming and magical colonial walled town . At your request, there will be a stop with enough time for shopping for the famously known Colombian products such as coffee (ground, beans), handcrafts, souvenirs, etc. and specially the greatly coveted and sought after Colombian emeralds. 4. We rejoin the vehicle and, if traffic allows us, we can drive around the new city, which is a little peninsula where the rich live. 5. Cruise ship pax (shore excursions) will be picked up at and driven back to the port safely. Travelers will be picked up and dropped at their hotels.
