Cartagena is well-known for its Historic buildings and Impressive Colonial Architecture , but beyond that the City has culinary traditions that dates back colonialization times , The creation of Sociaties of different continents brought to America the variaty of flavors that we have today for that reason I want you to learn and eat The real traditional food from Cartagena .
Unfortunately our contracted guide - Daniel had to cancel at the last minute due to an injury. He luckily had an available colleague Julito, who stepped in and conducted our tour. The variety of food available on the food tour was fantastic and we enjoyed every bite. Julito was kind professional and knowledgeable and helped to make our tour day special and comprehensive.
We had a fabulous tour with Daniel. I do recommend that you go with an empty stomach as there is plenty of food to eat. The food was all wonderful. We had everything from fresh fruit to shrimp ceviche to egg stuffed corn patties. Daniel took us around both the Old Town and Getsemani. You don't want to miss this tour.

This is a wonderful tour with a personable, engaging and knowledgeable guide. His love for his city is infectious. We stopped at several locations and had a variety of foods, all were delicious. Daniel also talked about the culture and life in Cartagena as we walked through old town. This is a tour not to be missed during your visit to Cartagena!
Daniel was an amazing guide. His extensive knowledge of Cartagena, enthusiasm, and warm personality made our tour one of the highlights of our trip. He was also excellent with our teenagers. We highly recommend him.

Try our typical carimañola , delicious maize pastry filled with egg & ground meat inside. go to the next stand and try our typical Ceviche . if you are still craving for more let's try the real local fried plaintain and cheese . stop for a real exotic fruit juice at Mr juice stand . -Enjoy walking , drinking and eating , visit 2 different neighborhoods . Old city walled and Getsemani , see interesting mural work and artist paintings . - learn about the impact of foreign Money into the neighborhood , how a neighboorhood changed from being a poor low income family hood to an expensive investment location. Back to the ship .
