This cultural and historical tour is designed and available to enjoy 2 days, for all those tra velers that are interested to know the african legacy, in Cartgena de Indias and San Basilio de Palenque Colombia. The old city of Cartagena de Indias was founded by the spanish Pedro de Heredia on June 1st of 1533. The main importance of the city under the spanish domination was based on its wealth that was stored, like emerald, pearls, gold and silver. In addition its strategic location near the caribbean sea in South America, made it became a prosperous colonial village. Indigenous, first settlers in this territory were replaced by african slaves since the Spanish conquest . The african manpower was the most important business represented by the hard work to build walls and fortification. there was a big miscegenation as mulato, mestizo and zambo. After all, african courage could reached its own freedom by royal decree in 1713. This village was named San Basilio de Palenque, being its hero Benkos.
