Insider's Montreal: From tunnels to vistas

Montréal's underground city is more than a convenient way to get around in cold weather. This network of connected buildings allows you to discover modern architecture, see some interesting public art, as well as learn about how the Montreal lifestyle has adapted to the climate and remains vibrant year round. You will not only learn about how a this 35 km long came to be, but also about some of the institutions you will walk through. Being the cultural capital of Canada, art is everywhere in Montreal. Therefore, you'll see a lot of public art IN the tunnels as well as in the buildings themselves. You will hop from one building to the other without ever going outside. Looking out the windows, you'll see some of the city's landmarks, but you'll also see interesting architecture from the inside of the buildings. Montreal is like two cities in one, and seeing in from the inside will give you a completely different perspective.
