I was born in Montreal in the district Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. Globetrotter, very young I travelled across the world: Europe, North Africa, Latin America, the United States and Canada. Car visit to the Laurentians region. From Montreal, we take the road of the North towards the Low and High Laurentians, sprinkled with lakes, hills and forests. This region of Quebec Province fascinates by its history and its natural beauty. Important holiday resort since the beginning of the 20th century, it's a privileged place for Montrealers. Get to know the colonization history of the region with Catholic Priest Labelle's project to found new parishes to stop the exodus of French Canadians towards New England. These settlers came in mid-19th century to clear lands and to build "Le P'tit Train du Nord", a 200-km railway between St-Jérôme and Mont-Laurier. "Le P'tit Train du Nord" (The Little Northern Train) is now a linear park and a bike trail during summer. Discover the unforgettable villages of the Laurentians: St-Jérôme, St-Sauveur, Val David, St-Jovite, the Old-Tremblant Village and Mont-Tremblant. Pierre Carl is very knowlegable about all areas of Montreal. His English is great. He was willing to show us anything that we had a particular interest in. He took us to local places we would never have seen otherwise. His car was very clean and comfortable. Thanks for a great 2 days!

Our guide was knowledgeable and very cooperative in trying to achieve our specific requests about seeing the area and understanding the culture of Quebec. To make a cold, wet day enjoyable is not easy but he did an excellent job.
We had a second delightful day with Pierre up to the Laurentian Mountains stopping at charming French villages along the way. Saw the bike riders using the old paths leading up through the mountains. Again we stopped for treats at a bakery and chocolate shop and then had lunch in Mont Tremblant. All in all a wonderful day.
