Montreal food tour: eat your way through Montreal's history!

Nathalie, our guide, is exactly why we love Tours by Locals. Her love for Montreal and joy in sharing her hometown with visitors was obvious. In fact, our two tours over two days, were each suppose to be 4 hours each. We went well past that both days, and we’re sure she would have stayed with us all day, had we not decided we needed our afternoon naps, Nathalie was a wonderful, warm and effusive host and we not only appreciated her knowledge of local history, but also how she made us feel like we were with old friends reconnected. We highly recommend her for anyone, especially those coming to Montreal for the first time. I noted also that she read our notes regarding our preferences, pacing, need to sit and rest, take coffee breaks, and made sure the tour was catered to our wishes.

Nathalie creates a friendly, delicious introduction to Montreal. Her great service began with the messages we sent each other while scheduling - including adjustments she made in her personal schedule to accommodate my tour. On a chilly, blustery, and rainy day, Nathalie picked me up at my hotel and provided me with a good orientation of the city while stopping at four different landmark eating opportunities. I'll leave her first stop for future people to discover, but be ready for the unique way she describes Montreal. Nathalie ended the tour with a homemade treat to accompany the ingredients we purchased at the public market. Finally, she provided me with great recommendations for restaurants to try during my visit.

Great tour. My wife and I really enjoyed our day of history and food in Montreal. Nathalie is very informative, flexible, and fun. We saw numerous sires in the city. Natalie is a gem. A font of knowledge with a charming personality. She described the history of Quebec and Montreal in an easily understood way. She took us a gastronomic food tour of Montreal ending with the farmer’s market. Overall far above expectations and a great experience. I would highly recommend using her as a guide!
