I was born in Montreal in the district Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. Globetrotter, very young I travelled across the world: Europe, North Africa, Latin America, the United States and Canada. Overview of your Montreal tour
In the morning we will leave Montreal to go to the Cantons-de-l'Est (Easter Townships), including Estrie and Montérégie Regions. The Easter Townships were developed by Loyalists from New-England in the late 18th century. These Loyalists who wanted to remain to the British crown settled in the New England Colony that had become Canada. This has greatly influenced the Architecture of the Villages. By highway and mostly by small country roads, we will cross several villages as far as Noth-Hatley, Magog, Knowlton, Lac-Brome, Dunham. . . . We will stop at specific places of the novels of Louise Penny's , visiting the nice region of Quebec Appalachian Mountains, Wine and Apples Country and be back in Montreal towards the end of the afternoon.

We spent three days with Pierre post cruise in Montreal. This was our favorite tour. Such a gorgeous area. Loved every small town - just gorgeous! Interesting day-long driving tour of Louise Penny’s “Three Pines” area. The tour hit it out of the park for fall foliage colors which was a bonus. We visited several small villages and went inside a church and an abbey (and tasted cheese curds in the abbey boutique), a lovely bookstore, walked around a manor and Pierre recommended a delightful cafe for lunch. He also told us about ice wine and ice apple cider which I hope we get a chance to try sometime. We also made several photo stops. We had a lovely day! Thank you, Pierre!

We asked Pierre for a Louis Penny tour. He did a great job in showing us all the places she mentions in her books and even made us a lunch reservation ahead so we could eat at Manior Hovey! He was on time, even early and made sure we got back when we needed to. What a great day we had!
