Born and raised in Montreal, I have lived in the city my entire life and developed a passion for it at a very young age. I was one of those marketing professionals that grew tired of everyday office life and now find myself promoting the city that I love. While I do have a wicked sense of humour I also am a person with many interests and can engage with travelers and locals alike on many levels. I am a foodie at heart and love talking about food and the culinary treasures that Montreal has to offer. I am well-travelled person and love to discover countries and cities through their culture and food. Don't even get me started on Italy and New Orleans (it might take some time). Many say that I have a warm, dynamic, friendly, and outgoing personality but I prefer to say that I am most happy when the people whom I am with are left content. This tour is the best of both worlds as we walk our way through the historic Old City while discovering the contemporary downtown area. You will see where Montrealers spend most of their time during the summer at festivals, where we keep warm during the winter months by walking through the underground city, and admire the picturesque sights of Old Montreal. A little bit of this, a little bit of that and a whole lot of Montreal is what this tour is all about. You will get a better picture on just how eclectic the city can be and how the city is getting the balance right in terms of juggling old vs. new. You will see the city transform throughout the tour leaving you with quite the impression!
We loved our afternoon with Ronny! His fun and knowledgeable approach to our customized tour made for a memorable experience and was a highlight to our visit to Montreal. Ronny was a great tour guide. I loved having a tour just for our family. He took us to many places and taught us about the history of Montreal that we would not have known otherwise. The three hour walking tour was just the right length for us. He paid attention to our two teenagers and made sure that the stories that he was telling were interesting to them, too. He also made some great dinner recommendations!
The guide, Romy, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was also very flexible in adjusting the tour due to adverse weather conditions. I would definitely recommend him and would be happy to have a tour with him again.
