Our half-day private tour of Montreal with Pierre was one of the highlights of our trip. Pierre's extensive knowledge of Montreal and Canadian history, combined with his engaging storytelling and great sense of humor, made for an outstanding experience from beginning to end. Pierre arrived at our hotel right on time in a spotless, comfortable SUV, and we immediately knew we were in good hands. Our first stop was Old Montreal, followed by Notre-Dame Basilica, where I had already purchased tickets for our group. Pierre's expertise truly brought the basilica to life. He pointed out important historical figures, explained the significance of the paintings, stained-glass windows, and altar, and shared fascinating stories behind the artwork and architecture. His insights gave us a much deeper appreciation and understanding of this magnificent church than we would have gained on our own. Afterward, we continued exploring Montreal and its surrounding neighborhoods. Throughout the drive, Pierre shared the city's rich history, culture, and interesting facts in a way that was both informative and entertaining. His passion for Montreal was evident, and he made every stop meaningful. Overall, we had a wonderful day and couldn't have asked for a better guide. Pierre's historical knowledge, professionalism, punctuality, and sense of humor made this tour exceptional. We highly recommend him to anyone looking to truly experience and understand Montreal. Pierre Carl is a fine guide. In our 4 hours, we covered the sites of interest in Montreal and the various neighborhoods (perhaps not quite all the encyclopedic list on his site). With Piere Carl's wide range knowledge, we acquired a true feel for the city, historical and current.
