I am what you call a citizen of the world. I was born in North Africa, but I have French and Italian origins. My family moved to the south of France passing through Italy. I was raised in the south of France, and spent time in London. Love brought me to Canada, specifically to Montreal, and I stayed here for good. It has been home for almost fifty years, and I still love my city. After traveling around the world, I decided to earn a living doing what I love! I've been a Tour Director ( TD) since 1984 and have been guiding ever since. Tourism became my passion; I've been a representative for the Caribbean and have travelled also in South America. I would be happy to give you a customized tour of the Laurentians, the Appalaches, Quebec city, Ottawa, or right here in Montreal. I'm looking forward to welcoming you here. Au plaisir. I'm one of those people who enjoy to walk around and go back home on my own, on foot, no transportation, so I'm excited to show you exactly what this feels like, how I like to do move here! I'll be happy to take around you like a Montrealer. On this tour, you'll see where good part of Montrealers and tourists like go shopping. From the Golden square mile, then heart of this business area, we'll go zigzagging, passing through the thriving Sainte Catherine street, under and up. We'll also pass by the festivals area, also referred to as Place des Arts (the shows and entertainment district), heading to Chinatown. According to how much time we have left, we'll explore as much as we can, covering different parts of the city. Be prepared by wearing a comfortable pair of shoes! It's always possible to personalize the tour, based upon your, interests and requests, your comfortable walking pace and the weather. Customizable itinerary:
-We'll start at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts on Sherbrooke St, within the the Golden Square Mile neighborhood, remnant of an era gone by when fur traders and railways companies' Presidents were thriving. Also on this street are iconic buildings such as the Ritz Carlton Hotel & McGill University. -Next, we'll visit Dorchester Square, in front of which we'll see the Sun Life Building. -Taking a step from this square, through René-Lévesque Brd we'll arrive to Mary-Queen-of-the-World Cathedral, a half size replica of St Peter's Basilica in Rome. -After this, we'll pass by the Fairmount Queen Elisabeth Hotel. -In front of the hotel, we'll see Place Ville Marie & visualize a mountain through a rink. -We'll then walk to Eaton Center, way out at the Philips square. -Afterwards, we'll visit Place des Festivals. -Next, we'll pass by Desjardins Complex. -Later, we'll reach Chinatown. -We'll then walk by Montreal's Convention Center passage. -At last, we'll pass by Riopelle Place & the World Trade Center.
