Overview of your Montreal tour:

Join a global award-winning food writer (Travel+Leisure, Boston Globe), Professor, and Michelin star-trained Chef for a 4-course journey highlighting the unique terroir and culinary influences of Quebec Guests will learn how to formally taste, evaluate, and talk about artisanal cheeses and wines - from swirling and sniffing to sipping and tasting. Each course will highlight a different type of cheese - including sheep, goat, and cow milk, as well as hard, creamy, and stinky cheeses. Guests will also enjoy a matching 4-glass wine/beer/cider flight or a non-alcoholic artisan tea flight. The host site is a residence in the heart of the historic Old Port

Your Montreal tour itinerary

On arrival, guests will enjoy a brief overview of Montreal's current culinary, farming, and agriculture scene Guests will then learn the key tenets for tasting wine and cheese, including vocabulary and approaches to evaluation, tasting, and some classic and innovative ideas about matching food and wine. Through multiple courses, guests will probe deeper into each type of cheese and wine/tea varietal, and by tasting's end will have a fine handle on the basics of tasting like a pro! Each course will be matched to a different vegetable preparation, sourced from local markets or farms There will be one 'local mystery course' of an iconic local dish that will make an appearance at the meals' end
