Full Day Excursion to Lower Austria into Medieval Heritages - the infamous Vienna Woods (approxim. 6 hours exchurcion)

We depart from your hotel by car in direction of Lower Austria, to the Vienna Woods. Our first stop will be in Heiligenkreuz one of the oldest Cistercy monastry of the world. The abbey is still functioning, Benedict monks are stil living and working there. They allow the visitiers enjoy their holy masses, while they are praying by singing, which is a unique experience in the 21st century. From here we will drive for 15 minutes to Maria Enzensdorf, where we will visit the former medieval seat of The Lichtensteins Dynastie, which is one of the oldest aristocratic family in Europe. Behind this romanesque styled faccades we will admire numerous of medival furnitures, weapons, beamed ceilings, reliefs and the chapel. Our last destination will be the former private winery of the cistercy abbey, where we will be enjoying a private guided tour in the catacombes, combined with a private wine tasting and some tipical, local snack. The tour ends at your hotel.
