Call me Slava. Like many New Yorkers I have moved here from somewhere else (Ukraine by way of Boston in 2010). It is here that my love for history has blossomed and it is here that I have chosen to make my home forever: New York or nowhere! This is a great city historically, so much of the timeline of human condition can be traced through the streets and neighborhood of New York City. Everything is connected and I am fascinated with finding the tendencies, the hidden movements, the influences of cultural phenomena that brought us to today. And I love to share so buckle up and I will take you through centuries of colonial history in the modern Financial District, the blossoming and fading of Bohemia in Greenwich Village, the nature of the SoHo Effect as it happened first in SoHo and TriBeCa, architectural curiosities of real estate development around Hudson Yards and Chelsea, creation and adaptation of Central Park, the stages of culinary history of New York and so much more.
