Hello, everyone. I am Yumi, like "you and me". My name means "beauty of freedom". I am originally from Kagoshima and lived in several places and countries. I came back home and have been working as a local tour guide for 6 years. I am a licensed Kagoshima Prefectural World Cultural Heritage Guide Interpreter. My experience in tour guide is such as, FIT, private tour, group tour, student exchange program and so on. I also have experience as an interpreter and MC at cruise ship ceremonies, academic conferences, international NGO conferences, and cultural exchange programs. Sometimes I work as an interpreter for informal business meetings organized by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization). Kagoshima is not only the birthplace of modern industrialization in Japan. It is also the place where the last samurai battle against the central government was fought. Kagoshima has rich natural resources, interesting history, distinctive culture, and delicious local foods. Kagoshima has one World Cultural Heritage Site and two World Natural Heritage Sites. And I do like to introduce Kagoshima's most famous power spot, Sakurajima, an active volcano!!
