The sacred city of Varanasi in India is the holiest Hindu city in the world and is the best place to have a clear and deeper understanding of the Hindu philosophy, culture and traditions. My name is Anish, and I am working as a tour guide in Varanasi though I have the right in the form of license to work in whole north India. I have the tour guide license of the Union Government of India. I have been a history graduate and still have a deep interest in history especially Indian history and Indian mythology and philosophies which include the philosophies other than the Hindu. I have worked with one of the best Destination Management Companies of the world and am now leading the guests of some reputed companies in the world. Besides leading the tours in this holiest Hindu city of Varanasi, Banaras or Kashi, I am deeply interested in exploring the off-beat touristic destinations and designing off-beat tourism products to enrich the experience of the guests coming to this city. I have designed some walking tours which give a deeper and clearer understanding of the area to my esteemed guests, based on different aspects. I am also designing Village tours so that the guests can have an experience of real India because as per Mahatma Gandhi - " The real India lives in the Villages ". I am interested in gaining the knowledge and sharing it with the interested persons and I organize the lectures and discourses on Indian History, Mythology, Philosophy and different aspects of it. I will be more than happy to help you understand my culture, my society, and my religion in the best way possible. Come and visit the ancient cities of the world and the holiest city for the Hindu community, about which the famous author Mark Twain in 1897 itself has rightly said " Banaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and look twice as old as all of them put together. I have completed the tourist guide training provided by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, which is a 6 months long training at the INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TOURISM & TRAVEL MANAGEMENT an institute under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. 2. I have the license of REGIONAL LEVEL TOURIST GUIDE, issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. It is the highest level of tourist guide operating legally in India. 3. Received AUDLEY GUIDE AWARDS 2019, for best tour guide in India. 4. Completed Tourist Guide Orientation Program, conducted by INDIA TOURISM, INTACH, and TOURISM WELFARE ASSOCIATION. 5. Won Special Recognition Prize for Culture Walk in ALL INDIA WALKING TOUR CONTEST organised by INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TRAVEL AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT in association with INDIA CITY WALKS. 6. Got TRAVEL & HOSPITALITY AWARD by UK based Travel Magazine for best Inbound Tour Operator in Uttar Pradesh State, for my firm WALK 2 XPLOR. I am not a driver.
