My name is KATJA and I love discovering enthusiastic people, exciting experiences & high-quality products - from the best espresso to the out-of-the-box scientific or art books, from charming yoga gardens to breathtaking secluded beaches, from eco wineries to the coolest art studios in town. As an endlessly curious, creative spirit and holder of 3 MA degrees (with no intention to stop there) I am most passionate about sharing insights, knowledge & stories about my hometown SPLIT and its surroundings. For me guiding is not about lecturing - it is first and foremost about SHARING. I believe a destination is not only defined by its historic sights - it is also defined by its PEOPLE and creating a memorable tour is all about creating VALUE. Connecting at eye (and heart!) level with everybody that comes my way is what makes every tour unique and contributes to making your stay in Split memorable and fun. I believe TRAVELLING and STORYTELLING are a perfect way to meet oneself and others (alongside with yoga & dancing (: ). Through the collaboration of my analytical mind and an artistic soul, I have created a fine selection of private tours of SPLIT and its surroundings. All of them are carefully crafted to inspire you, awaken your senses, and provide knowledge that would otherwise take way too many library visits or exhausting googling. After 15 years of experience as a heritage interpreter, tour coordinator & a licensed private guide, I have redefined my approach to tour guiding so that it is aligned with my values and passions: I prefer walking, hiking & cycling over cars and speed boats, I recommend restaurants that offer home-made local foods & support sustainable food growing, I promote local artists and their handicrafts, fashions & designs. Finally, I wholeheartedly collaborate with other creatives in the hospitality field who share my values and offer unique and authentic experiences.
