Hi there! Welcome to delightful Dalmatia. Is there anything better than doing a job you absolutely love? For me, there's just one. Doing a job I love and equally sharing my energy and passion. Really helping visitors to Croatia discover more by creating beautiful hand-picked experiences and moments that people will never forget! So, who am I? In a nutshell - I'm a true local, in love with Split and Dalmatia. I'm a keen foodie, wining and dining, exploring the rich Dalmatian cuisine. Movies, art, cultural heritage and languages all play a strong role in my life. When I'm not out-and-about passionately sharing my perspective with visitors, you'll often find me bargaining for the best deal at the famous fish market, delving into a good book, or doing what every local does best - meeting friends for a good chat over coffee in the sunshine! Over my 18-year-long career in the tourism industry, one of the great things about what I do - is always managing to hit the right balance! The balance between hitting the sweet spot among guests who really want to delve deep into the historical culture, understand what makes Dalmatia tick today, or gently absorb the sights and flavours. Maybe even a delightful healthy mix. Having lived abroad in the UK and as a keen traveller, when I'm in an entirely new place I need a comprehensive feel-good tour experience. An experience full of genuine smiles and laughs - all at my own pace. More importantly - from someone who knows their stuff! It's as much about the small attention to detail as it is exploring wonderful landmarks on foot. Personally crafted tailor-made itineraries. The intriguing Island anecdotes. The true mindset and lifestyle of the locals. The way people lived then and now. It's about listening, being flexible, throwing in a touch of humour and feeling what you - the visitor individually wants to explore, discover and experience. Good news. That's exactly what I do! Truly feel the vibes of Split and Dalmatia - let's do this together. Over to you. . . We start with the liveliest spot in the city - the main promenade "Riva". Explore the magnificent Diocletian's Palace - a UNESCO World Heritage site that represents the best preserved late-antiquity building in the world. Built at the end of the 3rd century AD, the Diocletian's Palace is definitely the most significant Roman site in Croatia. With locals still living within its walls, it is a living monument of one era and certainly a "must see" when visiting Split. Take a short car ride to the iconic Mestrovic Gallery proudly housing the works of I. Mestrovic - the most outstanding Croatian sculptor. Mestrovic is alongside Auguste Rodin, my favourite sculptor. His villa, that is today's gallery, is one of the most beautiful places in Split. Even if you are not into sculpture, the serenity of the wonderful gallery garden, where some of the bronze works are scattered, the views of the Adriatic and the extraordinary life of Ivan Mestrovic that I will be telling you about, leaves no one indifferent.

Outstanding guide. The history Jelena gave us of the area was clearly presented and made the entire tour special. She was flexible and and open to changing things around as the need presented itself in order to accommodate what we wished to see. I can’t say too many nice things about her and I’m so glad that she was our tour guide.
Our half day tour with Jelena was spectacular. Diocletians Palace, old town Split, hidden gems plus Mestrovic’s Gsllery were all amazing. Jelena is the best - deeply knowledgeable, warm, open - truly an awesome human being. Felt like a walk and talk with a cool best friend!
Jelena was an absolutely fantastic guide. She was friendly, accommodating, highly knowledgeable, interesting, professional. She tailored her tour to exactly what we wanted to see and learn. We got so much more out of our visit to Split because of all the interesting facts and details she told us. I highly recommend Jelena's services for anyone visiting this part of Croatia.
Myself and 3 friends spent a half a day in Split with Jelena touring the city. What a wonderful day it was! Her knowledge of history is phenomenal and her delivery impeccable - in perfect English with a pleasant, almost British, accent. We went from tour guide and clients to friends by the end of the tour. I highly recommend her to anyone visiting Split that has a hunger for historical and cultural knowledge.
On a drizzly day, Jelena was a ray of sunshine and font of knowledge! She is approachable, has excellent English, and patiently answered our many questions. Jelena has vast information regarding Split and Diocletian's Palace, as well as providing a great tour of the Ivan Mestrovic museum. She gave us a couple of good suggestions on things to see/do, and even negotiated a deal for me at a dress shop at the end of our tour. We cannot recommend Jelena highly enough!
Enjoy a full tour of The Diocletian's Palace. This is what I suggest: - The Substructures, - Jupiter's Temple - The Mausoleum - and the Old Town of Split with a refreshing coffee break at any point of the tour. - We then leave the Old Town in a private car ( five minutes' ride ) to admire the works of the most renowned Croatian sculptor of the 20th century, Ivan Mestrovic. - We complete the tour with a transfer back to the colourful Old Town. This tour as a whole or partially, can be customized to fit your preferences- please inquire!
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
Transfer via taxi between the gallery and The Old Town. The rest of the tour is on foot.
