Welcome! My name is Victoria and I live in Gharghur, North East of Malta. I am a licensed, professional tour guide since 2005. For several years I have been informing and entertaining visitors from across the country and around the world about the sights and history of our beautiful country. Tour guiding was always my dream. At school, history was always my favourite subject and visiting places of interest was my biggest pleasure. I fulfilled my dream when I was 17 years. I was accepted by the Malta Tourism Institute to participate in the Tour Guiding Course. After 2 years of an intensive full time course, the Malta Tourism Authority had recognized me as one of its qualified guides. Being a tour guide is an exciting job that introduces you to people and places average travelers and tourists never experience, but it also requires solid skills and knowledge. To ensure this, I participate in various seminars and events in my field. Recently, I participated in a tourism-related EU funded project, consisting of an intensive course equivalent to the level of a Diploma in Tourism Management. I will be more than happy to help you plan your holiday or show you the most interesting places in the Maltese Islands, either by visiting the oldest free-standing temples in the world, the UNESCO World Heritage city of Valletta, the medieval town of Mdina, the island of Gozo steeped in tradition, or by following one of the many nature trails. Besides the popular traditional tours I also offer a number of excellent themed itineraries for all the different types of groups and ages and have been recommended by many including National Geographic. Together we can design a programme which suits your interests best. I have a passion for where I live and I have many ideas for exciting trips that I could take you on. I look forward to meeting you! Overview of your Valletta tour

Malta's known human history dates back to around 5000 BC and since then has experienced a multitude of influences, not only in culture but also in gastronomy. All those who ruled Malta left their mark: such as the Romans, the Arabs and the Knights. Maltese cuisine is the result of a long relationship between the Islanders and the many invaders who occupied the Maltese Islands over the centuries. No Mediterranean meal is complete without olive oil, honey and wine. For millennia, these have played a significant role in the Mediterranean cultures. On the island of Malta archaeological finds include: roman tools for olive pressing, roman amphoras for wine transportation and roman bee hives for honey making. Historians claim that the name 'Malta' means HONEY! Learn morn about the history of the Maltese Gastronomy and feast your senses with samples of Malta's best produce such as Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Maltese Honey, as well as taste some of the best indigenous wines and bread.

Victoria arranged an amazing day of wine tasting in Malta for us. The wineries we visited were fantastic, with surprisingly delicious wines and food spreads that could feed an army for a week! Victoria provided transportation and picked us up from our hotel, making everything seamless and enjoyable. She was fun, spoke perfect English, and gave us a great experience learning about the wine culture in Malta. Highly recommend her for a delightful and informative afternoon of wine tasting!

Victoria deserves the highest rating possible - she was the perfect tour guide - knowledgeable about Maltese food, history and culture, and tailored the tour to our group. The food tour was excellent. We learned so much about bees, farming and wine-making in Malta, and in Rabat we enjoyed tasting bakery and confectionery products as well as pastizzi and ftira. You do not want a big breakfast ahead of this tour! Thanks Victoria for a day we'll never forget!

Your Valletta tour itinerary

Our day and the time we start the tour is flexible and is meant to accommodate your schedule and interests. Wine tasting at a local winery-vineyard and olive grove. Visit of bee hives. Protection wear (strictly mandatory) is provided. Stop for some country side views and Mdina, the medieval town. Drive to the typical Maltese town of Rabat and sample local Maltese pastries and sweets. Multiple wineries can be visited if one is more interested in the local wineries. The order of tour sites may vary depending on traffic, the weather and overcrowding of venues. Wear comfortable walking CLOSED shoes. If you are ALLERGIC to bees this tour is not for you! If you are, we can visit some roman remains related to the subject instead of the bee hives. Kindly send me your sizes in a private message for the required protection wear.
