Xin Chào! My name is Xuan. It is pronounced as "soon". It means springtime when all things are fresh and alive. I grew up in the beautiful and majestic Mekong Delta, about 2,5 hours by car from Ho Chi Minh City. As a child I was captivated by the delta's long rivers with its lively floating markets. There are many rice paddies and fruits orchards in the various parts of the Mekong Delta. I enjoyed exploring these interesting places. So, I grew up loving this region and always wanted to show this beautiful part of Vietnam to tourists. I studied tourism in Can Tho University and graduated in 2012. After graduation I moved to Ho Chi Minh City and became a freelance tour guide. It was a dream come true. I love travelling, meeting new people, and exploring new cultures. I have been to several countries in Europe, Asia and Oceania. My travels abroad have re-enforced my desire to be a capable and responsible tour guide. To see the world is to live life to the fullest. Cu Chi Tunnels are part of a massive and elaborate tunnel systems used during the Vietnam War. This place offers a reliable stronghold for Viet Cong soldiers during the wars against the French and mostly the Americans. It comprises more than 200km of underground tunnels with booby traps and trapdoors, living areas, kitchens, storage facilities, hospitals, and command centers. By walking and crawling through the tunnels, you will get a sense of the world of guerrilla warfare in the incredible Cu Chi tunnels and gain insight into the tenacity and bravery of the soldiers.

We had an amazing experience with Xuan! He was such a kind man and was genuinely excited to talk with us and take us to his favorite spot for pho...our plans had changed due to late flight arrival and my wife not feeling well, but he was more than happy to make sure that we got some food before heading to our hotel. We have another tour set up with him for in a few days.

Learning how the VC soldiers constructed and used the underground tunnels, booby trips, termites mounts, trenches and the like. Walking through a short distance of the original tunnels which are totally made by hand during the wartime. Gaining more knowledge of Vietnam history, tradition, and culture as well. If you are interested, we can visit the shooting range, at an extra cost. Have a tea break and answer your questions related to the tunnel.
