Last but not least, Ho Chi Minh City - formerly called "Saigon" is a must stop in the South Vietnam. This young and dynamic city has two main areas as the colonial building area and the modern town. About myself, l spent two years studying at the college in Saigon, and another two years abroad. I love travelling so far and visited many countries around the world. If you want to experience this city street food/drink as the Saigonese, this is your best choice. You just need four hours from the late afternoon to night time. The best days for this kind of tour is on Saturday and Sunday, as they're full of local activities. What kinds of food is Saigon famous for? First, this is Banh Xeo - a kind of fried pancake with shrimp, port slice, egg and onion. . . and deep with fish sauce and wrap with local veg to dine. Second, it is snails. There are many kinds of snails with super flavors. Third, that is special fried chicken with crunched skin. Excellent tour. Visited districts 1, 5, 7. The new city, downtown and market districts. Fabulous tour of the contrasts of this vibrant city. Food tasting and coffee tasking wonderful. Hung has a great command of English and a good sense of humor. Highly recommended.
