My Tho City is just 70km from South of Saigon. My Tho and Ben Tre are connected by Rach Mieu bridge. There are many short boat-trips to various islands, Ben Tre and floating markets in the surrounding areas. It also has overnight long boats to Can Tho, Chau Doc and Phnompenh. This popular destination is famous for taking a nice wooden boat and cruising on the river to visit a coconut factory/a chance on horse-drawn carriage/ enjoy some kind of tropical fruits/ the amazing hand rowing boat trip on the small canals/ strolling around the islet by bike to explore the cultural beauty of gardens in the Southern Villages. Come here to discover the best charms of Mekong Vietnam. Cu Chi Tunnels is just 75 km to the north west of Saigon. This most popular history site is known as an outdoor museum. Here, visitors can now crawl through some of the safer parts of the tunnels, try to fire an AK-47 rifle on a firing range and even eat typical foods that soldiers living in the tunnels would have eaten. Your Ho Chi Minh City tour itinerary
On this tour we will visit Cu Chi Tunnel - an underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese soldiers during the struggle for independence. Stretching over 200km, this tunnel network -dug by hand- connected shelters, posts, hospitals and weapon bunkers…You can walk through the area and learn about the life of VC, face the cleverly disguised entrances and elaborate booby-traps. Then the mini-van will drive around two hours to reach Mekong area. Then the trip will start by taking small boats and cruising on the river to visit a coconut factory to learn about the way how to make coconut candy here and taste some local products. Then you have a chance on horse-drawn carriage through the village and enjoy some tropical fruits. After that, the amazing rowing boat trip on the small canal is something you cannot miss. Lunch will be served in heart of the garden with a special Mekong River's style. One more islet in this trip will bring you to a small bee farm to enjoy honey tea and other local products.
