A full day tour of Cu Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City

If you are interested in a full day trip with limit time, you can take my combined private tour of Cu Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City. The first half of the day is spent at Cu Chi Tunnels, one of Vietnam's most popular attractions for travelers. The journey is about 90 minutes from downtown of Ho Chi Minh city. The tunnels are part of a massive and elaborate tunnel system of more than 200km used during the Vietnam War. Today, this place offers a sneak-peek at the interesting underground life of Viet Cong soldiers during the wars against the French and the Americans. The second half of the day is spent in Ho Chi Minh City also commonly known as "Saigon". The largest city in Vietnam, it is home to 14 million people and 10 million scooters! Saigon has since risen from the devastation of the war period. We can still see well-preserved colonial buildings and war relics in the city. On the other hand, high rise and modern buildings are making their presence felt.

If you need airport pick up, please let me know. * Our first stop is Cu Chi tunnels where we learn how VC solders constructed and used underground tunnels, booby trips, termites mounts, trenches and the like. * Gain more knowledge of Vietnam history, tradition, and culture as well. * We will experience walking through a short distance of the original tunnels. * If you are interested, we can visit the shooting range, at an extra cost. After Cu Chi Tunnels, we will journey back to the city. We will basically do the following activities in the city: * Lunch in a local restaurant. * Visit Jade Emperor pagoda. * Visit the War Remnants Museum. * Tour around Dong Khoi area which includes the General Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the former CIA headquarters, the Rex Hotel, and the City Hall.
