I am a native to New Orleans (3 Generations on my mother's side, 5 Generations on my father's side) that's excited to do what all host LOVE to do, may guest enjoy their home. My very first tour was conducted by my grandfather, who was a Native Choctaw Indian that bestowed the LOVE of this city into me. So when I give a tour of my city, I can feel him just smiling upon me. I have the grace of living in other places all over the world, being in the United States Navy, yet the only place in the world that I can truly call home is New Orleans. New Orleans has a way of getting into the soul and making anyone feel at home with themselves. With all the tours that I give, I want that feeling to exude from every fiber of my being. All of my tours are a mixture of all the books that I've read about this city, local legend, and (of course) my grandfather folklore that I lean on. All 3 different aspects of understanding give this city it's Mystique, Magic, Allure and Grace. I do my best to capture these parts in the Graciousness of New Orleans. All my tours can be customized upon request. New Orleans Tour Guide License I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

A Powerful Legacy: Women of New Orleans A City Shaped by Female Influence New Orleans, a city steeped in history and culture, has been significantly shaped by the powerful women who have called it home. From the 18th century onward, women of diverse backgrounds have played pivotal roles in the city's development, contributing to its unique character and resilience. Early Female Leaders The Creole Women: Descendants of French and Spanish settlers, Creole women often inherited property and businesses, wielding considerable economic power. They played key roles in maintaining social order and cultural traditions. Free Women of Color: Enslaved women who gained freedom through various means, including purchase or inheritance, often established successful businesses and became community leaders. Their contributions to New Orleans' economy and society were substantial.
Walking the streets of The Famous French Quarters offers a glimpse into the rich history of women's empowerment in New Orleans. By exploring historical sites, cultural institutions, and contemporary initiatives, you can gain a deeper understanding of the city's female-led legacy. Hell, you might even see a ghost or two!
