I'm a five star private tour operator who grew up on the East, West, and far West coastlines of the U. S. With a passion for exploring the Hawaiian Islands, since my father moved to Lanai and the Big Island In 1988. Maui Bamboo Forest Waterfalls Private Hiking Tour
Overview of your Maui tour
This is one of my favorite adventures, having done it countless times personally for over 10 years, and professionally since 2016, it's seasonal from May - December). Explore one of our incredible bamboo forests with numerous waterfalls. The only thing missing are panda bears! Further into this hiking tour is the road less traveled, local style adventure. It's a one-of-a-kind experience that leaves you with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude along the way. This maui adventure is for experienced hikers OR active types with some technical abilities, including kids! Minimum age 10/Maximum age 65. (Level: Moderately Challenging and Technical/Experienced hikers or Active & Fit Types Only).
Your Maui tour itinerary
• Hike begins with a stroll down through a bamboo forest. Then we arrive at a creek bed where we rock hop across to giant bamboo. • We then rock hop to the 1st falls for a quick swim. • From there we climb up a 15 foot high, sheer rock, slippery slope next to the waterfall. There are ropes to use as leverage for climbing up. • At the top, we hike through more bamboo, before we arrive at the 2nd waterfall. Here you can spend time relaxing in the sun. It has great cliff jumping spots and a rope to swing off! Some of us prefer to swim to the actual falls and climb into it. • The next phase is more challenging. We climb up a ladder with preset ropes to get up the steep cliff face to the top of the falls. • We then lava rock hop through a creek bed, swim through a hidden channel with a dry pack, climb up a small waterfall rock wall, and rock hop to the largest 4th waterfall to relax at, swim or jump numerous tier levels from low to high, before returning.

By Guide: Non Cruise-ship/hotel guests have two options for meeting point: 1090 Ho'okele St, Kahului 96732 (Safeway supermarket parking lot near fuel pumps), OR Maui's North shore, in the Historical plantation town, Paia, at Paia Town Public Parking, just before the Shell gas station (same side).
