Highlights of Maui - Half Day Hawaiian Shore Excursion

On this tour, you'll have the chance to explore what was once the hub of all local activity before tourism became the staple industry of Maui: Wailuku Town sits in the shadows of the lush, ancient volcano known as Hale Mahina. The road we'll take heads directly into the erosion valley known as Iao. It means "cloud supreme". Over 300 inches of rain falls here every year! After you're done exploring, we'll head towards the Maui Tropical Plantation, the largest one on the island. I strongly suggest you take advantage of all the flowers and ponds for a great picture! Ice cream, coffee and other treats are for sale here, so you'll be able to grab one and relax under a Banyan Tree! For the last part of the tour, we'll go across the old Maui ranch land and even stop at a vintage cowboy town, a 3, 000 foot scenic lookout and pass through defunct pineapple lands, until reaching Ho'okipa Beach park. Keep an eye out for surfers and green Hawaiian sea turtles! As many as 100 turtles can be seen napping in the sand!

·We'll start our tour with a morning drive through the central valley up the hill to Wailuku Town. ·Our first stops will be in the Iao Valley and the Maui Tropical Plantation, where you'll be able to purchase snacks and beverages if so desired. Restrooms are readily available here too. -Once we're done, we'll head through the central valley and journey upcountry. This area is home to Haleakala, a 10, 000 foot volcano. -Next, we'll make varying stops throughout this mountain, including in scenic lookouts and a vintage cowboy town. -We'll also drive by former pinneaple lands. -Finally, we'll head back down to Maui's famous North Shore to check out the natural beauty of Ho'okipa Beach Park.
