Maui Jungle Waterfalls Half Day Hiking Tour

I've been exploring the Hawaiian islands for 28 years, and professionally since 2016, which is right around the time I discovered this place. I loved my first experience here, and continued going back to become more familiar with it before offering it as an experience. I now have extensive experience taking more adventurous type families here. Spend no time in the car and all of your time exploring waterfalls in the forest of Mauna Kahalawe, Maui's oldest extinct volcano. There are several tier levels throughout these mountains, so this unique hike I offer explores two of those tier levels. Part of this hiking tour is the road less traveled, and depending on season or day of the week, the entire journey can feel that way. This adventure tour involves hiking through a dirt trail that weaves in and out of a lava rock/boulder stream, so includes dry, sometimes wet lava rock hopping. Minimum Age 9/Maximum age 65. (Moderately Difficult w/Technical Abilities/Experienced Hikers or Active and Fit Types only).

From meeting point to hiking destination is 25 minutes each way. • Hike through bamboo thickets to a trail that weaves in and out of a lava rock stream to two upper tier waterfalls and a pool to swim in. Along the way, I'll point out native species and Banyan trees with aerial roots that leave us in awe of nature. • Rappelling a waterfall is optional (but only for experienced climbers I approve). • We then return to our original point of entry. 2nd Phase: • Hike through giant basalt formations, descending down to lower tier falls to explore and swim in the pools. • The first tier has a natural waterfall slide that gushes into the pool, which is great for kids. Or if you prefer jumping into the pool, go for it!   • We'll then hike further down the rocky stream to a majestic banyan tree with giant aerial routes to climb down to a larger more secluded waterfall and pool, with the option of climbing into the fall. Epic! From here, we stand above another large and steep waterfall for viewing, before returning.
