This was an incredibly powerful and insightful tour that gave us a deeper understanding of Belfast’s history and communities. Visiting areas like Falls Road and Shankill Road, along with the murals and memorials, brought the stories of the past to life in a meaningful way. Thomas was an excellent guide—he maintained a positive outlook about Belfast while being very intentional about presenting information in a neutral, balanced way. He made it clear that what he shared is public information that can be researched, which added to his credibility. At the same time, his own personal knowledge and lived experience added depth and authenticity that really enhanced the tour. We also appreciated his thoughtful pacing and flexibility, as well as the time he took to capture photos for us throughout the experience. Being able to stop, reflect, and even sign the Peace Wall made the tour feel especially personal and meaningful. From the International Wall to the Bobby Sands mural, each stop felt purposeful and memorable. This tour was both educational and moving, and we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a deeper look at Belfast’s culture and history.
