Tour From Kalkan - Private Xanthos, Saklıkent, Patara full-day shore excursion

One of the best trips to explore the ancient land of Lycia. Our day starts with a visiting Xanthos, the first capital of the republic in the world and of the Lycian League. Our professional guide will tell the story of the freedom loving people in this Unesco World Heritage Site. Xanthos has well-preserved ruins and monumental tombs, among lovely scenery. After exploring Xanthos, a short visit to C. W. A gives you an opportunity to learn about the history and craftsmanship of the famous Turkish carpets(optional). Our next stop is the Saklıkent Gorge; the second-longest gorge in Europe. Alfresco lunch is served on the river. Trekking through the cool water between the walls or fun rafting can be organized at the gorge. Our last stop will be Patara beach, which is the longest sandy beach in Europe. You can swim there, relax or you can explore the ancient settlement at Patara.

Special notes: Xanthos requires walking distances over uneven surfaces. the pace is slow and Shade is limited; please dress accordingly for the gorge trekking as well for the slippery limestone surfaces.
