Termessos and Upper Duden Waterfall Full Day Tour from Antalya

Termessos is the Turkish Machu Pichu - the ruins of an ancient city, set high in the mountains. One of the best preserved of the ancient cities of Turkey; Termessos was a Pisidian city built at an altitude of more than 1000 meters in the Taurus Mountains. It's an easy climb (approximately 15 minutes) but there are no set roads, so you need to wear proper walking shoes. We will explore the ruins and theatre. Alexander the Great visited here in 333BC. We will have lunch at a fish restaurant by the river, near Duden. You can eat freshly caught trout (from the river) or grilled chicken or meat. All meals served with fresh salads. Upper Duden Waterfall a natural area - very green and with a spectacular natural waterfall from the Taurus mountains.

I will collect you from your hotel at your chosen pick up time. We will drive to Termessos, which is a 40 minute drive from the city centre. Termessos was a Pisidian city built at an altitude of more than 1000 meters at the south-west side of Mount Solymos (Güllük mountain) in the Taurus Mountains, 30 km north-west of Antalya, soaring to a height of 1, 665 metres. There are a large number of rare plants and animals, under protection in 'The Termessos National Park' and dense pine forests. It is a peaceful, unspoilt area. It's an easy climb (approx 15 minutes) but there are no set roads, so you need to wear proper walking shoes. We will explore the ruins and theatre; spending about 2 hours here. After that, we will drive to Upper Duden Waterfalls to have lunch, at a local fish restaurant by the river. After lunch we will have a relaxing walk around in the natural area beside the waterfalls. I will take you back to your hotel or Antalya city centre at about 3. 30pm.
