By being someone with a degree in history and archaeology I can make sure Aspendos and Perge will be an unforgettable day for you. You feel a historical journey back to 3.000 years ago. I will give you the perspective of the ancient cities that played a major role in the history of Alexander the Great and St Paul's visit to the city. We start by visiting one of well preserved Hellenistic and Roman cities of Perge. Second is the Aspendos amphitheater still 90 percent well preserved and you can watch opera shows inside it in the summertime. Have a break at Waterfall to refresh and to see the natural beauty of the fall. Let me share some local stories with you. This is your private archaeological visit. Don't miss it!
Perge and Aspendos were very impressive and we were glad to have had the opportunity to take this tour. Ali was very knowledgable on the sites we visited, providing lots of information, tidbits and history behind sites and areas we were at, as well as information about life in Turkey and the Anatyla area. Ali was very easy to understand and his English was very good. Transportation was top rate. We would highly recommend Ali as your guide and the tour.
Ali was a fantastic guide!! He was easy to work with from the beginning of the booking process through going out on our tour with him yesterday. He was responded to my multiple questions promptly, which I appreciated greatly. We met him at the cruise port, at our agreed upon time and he got us back to the ship on time also. His knowledge of Turkish history was apparent from his bio, but in person it added so much richness to our tour. We had a wonderful lunch together midway through the tour and it added a more personal touch to the day. In short, I'd recommend Ali to anyone who comes to Antalya who wants a first rate professional tour.
Fantastic tour with Ali, so passionate about architecture and all things Antalya. Visited Perge and Aspendos and gained much knowledge from Ali’s insight. Osman was an excellent driver, also providing us with a local snack of local fruits and nuts in the vehicle. Would 100% recommend Ali.
Ali was a great guide who created a bespoke tour to take us to the three places we really wanted to see. Very knowledgeable and keen to explain the history of the area.
This tour was a glimpse into the splendor of the far flung Roman Empire. Ali made it very easy for us to grasp the significance of the sites. We also stopped at an Aqueduct. The waterfall was not impressive and could be skipped. Ali picked us up from our hotel on time. The tour lasted 7 hours with about 2 hours in a comfortable mini-bus. Lunch was at a lovely shack serving freshly cooked plates, salad bar, and also catered to vegetarians.
We had a very enjoyable day with Ali as he showed us the best historical and natural sites around Antalya. Perge was amazing. We spent just enough time there early in the day to avoid the heat and the crowds. Aspendos was also very impressive, we made sure to look at the amazing ruins of the aqueduct. We finished the day at a nature park with a waterfall and then a visit to q local fruit bazaar. We would highly recommend touring with Ali.
