Hello and greetings from Antalya. My name is Ismet and was born in Antalya in 1977. I am already working as a tour guide for more than 20 years and as an english teacher I will be always pleased to introduce my hometown to you with it's historical background. I guided to various people from USA till Japan, and as a teacher I can easily find a common language with many people. I have a deep interest in history, as I grew up near by an ancient town named as Perge. Later on luckily, I have finished the course of Professional tour guiding by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey where we studied greek mythology, history of religions, history of Roman-Byzantium and Ottoman empires. For two years ın 2003-4 I guided the religous groups in Biblical sites within Turkey. I love being well-planned and punctual because I was serving as an English teacher in a military high school. My principle is ; rather than trying to solve the problem, not to let it happen! For ten years I was the chief guide of a world-wide Russian Tour operator (carrying about 4 million tourists to 26 countries in the world) I grew up in Antalya smelling, feeling, tasting, experiencing and enjoying the beauties, history and cultures of this land. May be I am new here in toursbylocals but have great experience in guiding. Will be always pleased to share my knowledge and to help you to make the most of the day! We booked this tour to Perge and Aspendos, but after seeing Delos, Ephysus and some other ruins, we decided not to go to Perge. Ismet understood and happily modified the tour. We saw an ancient bridge with water flowing from the mountains. The theater at Aspendos is amazing. Then Ismet took us into Antalya to see the old town and Hadrianâs Gate. All in all the was an excellent tour with a very knowledgeable and personable guide. I strongly recommend Ismet for your guide in Antalya.

Ismet is very accommodating to pick us up at the time and location we preferred, he is very knowledgeable on history and taught my son a lot of interesting and fun facts on the historical site and others. We had a great time! Highly recommend it to anyone in the region!
-Departure about 9:00 am. -Visiting Perge antique site in detail: (It will take about2 hours) ·Stadium, ·Roman Gate, ·Nymphaeum, ·Roman Bath, ·Hellenistic gate, ·Colonnaded Main Street, ·The Agora. -Then in Aspendos, we see: ·The best ancient theater in the region 30-35 minutes ·The famous aqueducts which used to bring water to the city from 21 km away. 15 minutes.
