Yeliz was a wonderful tour guide! We booked our family of 5 (2 adults + 3 children) on the food tour and it did not disappoint! Yeliz took us to all the major historical sites in Antalya, explained their history and shared some incredible stories. One of the most interesting parts was hearing the history told from a Turkish perspective. She shared with us how the names of the region developed and the origins of these names and so many more interesting facts that we would never have learnt without her! The kids also had a great time learning about the region and sampling the food! The museum was a real highlight - we learnt about how Turkish coffee came to be, as well as sampling a delicious cup with the most gorgeous views! After which, Yeliz did a little reading of our coffee grains which was scarily accurate (Yeliz, there’s another profession for you to if you tire of being a tour guide!!) The restaurants and cafes that we visited were all amazing! The food was out of this world! As she is local to the area, Yeliz was able to take us to the best local spots rather than the touristy places that we would likely have visited ourselves. One tip for the food tour - don’t eat before hand!! There is so much delicious food to devour, you definitely want to arrive with an empty stomach to make the most of it! Yeliz shared some wonderful personal stories and we really felt like we’d had an authentic experience! Thank you Yeliz, it was an unforgettable day!!
