Perge Aspendos and Kursunlu full day Tour / Shore Excursion

Perge - an ancient Pamphylian city, where geometry was born. After Arabic wars in Anatolia, nobody lived at Perge and the city died. Aspendos - an ancient Greco-Roman city with the best preserved Ampitheatre in the world. Alexander the Great visited both Perge and Aspendos in 333BC. The architecture and sound acoustics of the Amphitheater will fascinate you. We will have lunch in Belkis village, near the river. The restaurant has fresh trout from the river or you can have grilled chicken or meat. All meals served with fresh salads. Kursunlu park and waterfall is a very natural area, many different kinds of birds live here and trout swim in the waters. There is a café here where you can eat traditional Turkish food.

-After collecting you from your Hotel at your chosen pick-up time, we drive to Perge. The Roman Bath is a fine example. Plantia Magna spent lots of money to beautify this ancient city. We will explore the ruins here. -A further drive (30km) to Aspendos and the amazing Aquaducts. Previously Hellenistic, these cities became Roman states after the 2nd Century AD and changed religion. I will tell you more about the history of these 2 cities while we are visiting. -We will have lunch in Belkis village, near the river. -Then we will go to Kursunlu national park and waterfalls. You will have time to enjoy the fresh air and see the waterfalls. Please wear good walking shoes as some paths are very uneven. You can get a drink and something to eat at the cafe here if you like. -I will return you to your hotel or Antalya city centre late afternoon, about 4:00 pm.
