Enjoy an evening at the best-kept secret night market loved by local foodies. Visitors and locals browse 2, 000 feet (600 meters) of stalls selling such Taiwanese delicacies as braised pork rice and xiao long bao (steamed pork dumplings). Your host will point out some of the details you might have missed in each stop as they reveal themselves during the evening lights and around a less touristy crowd.
This is a really fun tour, and I think it is a must-do for anyone visiting Taipei. Daphne will escort you through the chaotic, but super fun, night market, and will explain the many different types of street food being sold, and will recommend her favorites to you as well. I did this tour on my final night in Taipei and it was a perfect way to end my trip with a true Taiwanese experience. Do not miss this one.

We had a fantastic night tour with Daphne. She was extremely knowledgeable and kept us entertained with facts and stories, making history and present day come alive. We appreciated her organization of the evening and ability to make slight changes to suit our personal wishes, especially providing food options in the market and giving us recommendations of places to visit during the rest of our trip. A definite highlight was the temple tour where she took us to each floor providing detailed explanations of the rituals and history. I highly recommend Daphne’s tour for anyone looking for a well paced, engaging and memorable experience.
This was a wonderful way to experience, and learn about, Taipei. We loved it!
The tour was an excellent balance of insightful knowledge about the temple, night market, latest trendy events in Taipei, started with temple visit, fun food tasting at the night market and ended with walking through the super lively night life around Taipei 101 area, which is a "new trend" of "night activities" in addition to the traditional night market. Raohe Night Market has become our current favorite & the selection of food items to sample was spot on. Daphne, the tour lady, was very knowledgeable and has excellent English that I would highly recommend her to the tourists who are interested to have insightful discussion about history, religion, culture of Taiwan.
Great tour of the temple and immersion into the Tao religion. Daphne helped make the night market easy to navigate and experience some of the most popular foods. Very nice to get a local’s perspective of these sites.
