Before being a tour guide I have been a taxi driver, street vendor, factory worker, junk food salesman, paper money (burned in Taoist worship) shopkeeper and English tutor. Because of my living experiences, I can be a fantastic private guide showing you hidden corners and people at every turn. For example, I have accesses to an old Japanese mariner that did shoot at Allied troops in Saipan in WWII (no more, this old soldier passed away in 2021), a hearty aboriginal youth brewing cups of coffee who descends from a head-hunting clan, a manager of an outdoor traditional opera troupe who would allow my tours to be costumed and get on the stage to perform to please a local goddess on her birthday…. Return to cruise one hour before departure Note: It is not practical to complete all these attractions in one day (8 hours), normally, based on tourists’ interests, 4 to 6 sites from them is doable.
