"You are the eyes of tourists" one of my guests said to me. After visiting 40 countries around the world, I decided to become a tour guide of my home country - Taiwan. For past 20 years, I was eager to see the other part of the world. I tried my best to travel around. When traveling couldn't satisfied me, I spent a year in the UK in order to know more about local life and also received my Master degree. One day, I realized what I was looking for is not from outside, but it is actually inside my home country — Taiwan is no less beautiful but very unknown. I think it's time to tell you this hidden gem. Please come and travel with me! It makes big difference who you travel with. We can talk about Taiwan and/or exchange our travel stories! One Canadian lady (who is the owner of a chocolate and organic tea house in Kyoto, Japan) told me : you have very sensitive eyes! After I showed her a special photo I took in her wonderful tea house. A British friend once said to me: You are unique! Yes, I'm unique :-) I've been to many places, not only Europe and the US, but also Iran, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Myanmar, Lao. . . on my own or with a friend. Those experience made me see things in different way and that's why I can write travel articles (now I write articles about arts and culture) for the top 1 newspapers in Taiwan. The places listed in the tours might be similar to others, but I am the one who made it different! Please come and travel with me. You will love Taiwan as I do! PS. 1. I was majored in computer and trained/did coding for 10 years. I had been working for airline / national tourism board / travel agency, and now even as a tour guide, I am different from other tour guides who is just a tour guide ;) PS. 2. Tour guide is my main job. My 2nd job is tour leader. In summer, I often escort student group to study English overseas. Spend 3 to 4 weeks in England/London or Boston/New York. My 3rd job is writing articles (including taking photos) for the leading news paper in Taiwan. It's a full page articles printed on the newspaper (not a internet blog which anyone can write). If you are interested, I'm more than happy to show you the collections of my favorite clippings! PS. 3. Where have I been to? The countries I have visited including Singapore X 14 times The UK X 14 Japan X 13 The USA X 7 Malaysia X 7 Germany X 5 Indonesia X 4 Thailand X 4 France X 4 Australia X 3 Holland X 3 Austria X 3 Turkey X 2 Italy X 2 Spain X 2 Slovenia X 2 Portugal X 2 Cambodia X 2 Vietnam X 2 Following are only once: Iran / Myanmar / Nepal / Lao / Sri Lanka / Morocco / Maldives / Guam / Palau / Philippine / H. K. / Macau / Czech / Vatican / Belgian / Canada / Kenya / Zimbabwe / Zambia / Botswana I used to have a full time office job so it was not easy to do all those trips. . . . I really tried my best :) PS. 4. Tour Guide (Inbound) License in English / Mandarin since 2008. Tour Leader (Outbound) License in English / Mandarin / Japanese since 2006. MSc degree in eTourism, University of Surrey (UK) - Awarded Chevening scholarship by British Office 2011 Taiwan Tourism Elite Selection and Overseas Training Program at University of Hawaii (Tourism Executive Study Program) Writing Travel Articles / Art and Culture Articles (Full page) for the Top 1 newspaper in Taiwan. I am not a driver so most of my tours including a charter car/van with a professional driver.

Such as : CKS Memory Hall, Long Shan Temple, Taipei 101, Di-Hua Old Street. . . etc. The order of visit will be rearranged according to your hotel's location and your preference. If you want to go up to the Taipei 101 observatory at 89th floor, might need to spare 1 hour. If you prefer to visit National Palace Museum, need to spare some more time including 1. 5 hours inside. P. S. 1:Please let me know what kind of food you prefer to have (Ex: Michelin TW restaurant / dumpling / beef noodles-food is one of the most important culture in Taiwan ;). I can make reservation in advance. P. S. 2: If you have more time in Taipei and want to experience local life style with seasonal cuisine, will suggest a special private kitchen - you will be the only guests on the day. It takes 2 hrs and you can experience more about Taiwanese cuisine culture by talking with the chef.

We had such a great day touring Taipei with Yi Fen. Communication prior to the tour was excellent and the itinerary was extremely well organized. She is very knowledgeable and was able to tell us some very interesting things along the way. She arranged a fabulous lunch and was very accommodating of our food preferences. Yi Fen is so friendly and a pleasure to be around. I would highly recommend touring Taipei with her.

Yi Fen is an excellent guide! She is well versed in the history and culture of Taiwan, making her the perfect guide for visitors. We had a terrific day tour with her... and hIghly recommend her as your guide in Taipei. Interestingly, she was recommended to us by friends who had used her for tours in the past. What a great tour! Yi Fen took us around Taipei, and we spent a day in Tainan. We visited the Geopark and a National Park. We went to a Sky Lantern release. We went to the observation deck of Taipei 101, and she pointed out all sorts of things we should know and interesting points. We tried many new foods with all sorts of restaurants from formal lunches in fancy hotels to streetside stops to tea houses overlooking the ocean, she arranged one great experience after another. From high-speed trains to beautiful waterfalls and fields of Callalilies and Cherry Trees in bloom we had an immersive experience in Taiwan. We talked history and politics and saw many sites of historical and political interest. Yi Fen was great. She is smart and fun and a wonderful ambassador for Taiwan. She made the trip what we wanted with great communication ahead of time and on-the-spot changes based on weather and traffic. She arranged special experiences (like a lunch in the home of one of her friends - which was fantastic) based on our preferences. She helped us with things to do and places to eat when we weren't with her. She made sure we had time for activities we enjoyed and arranged our transportation. The places we visited were special, each in their own way and the experiences we had were very diverse. There is too much to mention the individual things. We had a fantastic tour and fell in love with the beautiful country of Taiwan and its incredible, beautiful, and extremely considerate people. We consider ourselves to be extremely fortunate to have found such a wonderful guide and to have such a wonderful experience in Taiwan.

She was very attentive to our interests and was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed learning about Taiwan’s history among many other topics.
