Discover the highlights of Zürich City on this 90 minute tour. This is the perfect walk for those who only have an abbreviated time to explore. We will travel both sides of the Limmat River; from the Bahnhofstrasse with its banks, watches and luxury goods, to the guildhalls and medieval churches on the opposite side. I'll lead you along the cobblestone streets and show you where the Romans and Carolingians settled. And of course no Swiss tour is complete without seeing a chocolate shop or two. In addition to all this we will view some charming fountains, actually a lot of fountains. Zürich started creating fountains in the Middle Ages and never seemed to stop. Come visit Zurich with me, a cosmopolitan city filled with Swiss tradition. PS: If you have more time please join me for a longer exploration of Zurich on my other Zurich City Walk.
The possibilities include: Bahnhofstrasse Lindenhof St. Peter's Church Roman Ruins Rathaus (City Hall) Grossmünster Church Sprüngli Chocolate Shop Paradeplatz Lindt Chocolate Shop FrauMünster Church and Cloister Niederdorf Renweg Each tour is unique, some tours depending upon the starting point and pace may not cover all the sites listed in the itinerary.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will be on foot and cover about 2 kilometers. Please wear comfortable shoes and be aware there are some moderate hills.
